Leilah Dhoré has certainly come a long way since her first experimentations as an artist. From drawing, painting to lens-based media, she is constantly exploring new ways to tell the stories of our lives. Behind Leilah's visual narratives lies a strong, well-rounded woman who isn't afraid to re-assess her boundaries. In 2013, Leilah made her first debut in a collaborative photo exhibition called 'Exposed: Telling Our Stories Through Our Lens'. She is also the proud recipient of Gallery 44's David Maltby Award. Leilah is currently majoring in Photography at OCAD University, with a minor in Art and Social Change. She continues to explore how her identity -- and various layers of life experience -- influence her creative mindset. Outside of photography, Leilah enjoys exploring her community and mentoring other young artists.
